Pre School By the time your child reaches this group they will have already been mixing with their new peers on a part time basis. This confident and smooth transition ensures that they are ready for new experiences and broader horizons. This is a crucial time for developing language and social skills. Outdoor projects, including a large play area with educational toys a great focus for the children each season. We will make use of the children's educational software including computers, puzzles, drawing and games, with the help of our Team members.   Click To Enlarge Picture Our 'Messy Area' will be introduced for cooking and art projects. As well as the children being able to burn off some energy in our 'Sensory Play Area'. Both rooms will give the children ample chance to freely express themselves and develop new skills. Outside, strength and physical skill will be developed with the help of a range of trikes bikes and slides. At this age the children are also encouraged to develop their social skills such as turn-taking by playing ball games etc., in the play area. We aim to work with the parents while helping the child to progress at their own speed. Every child is an individual. We hope the pre school group will help make transition to big school as gentle and effortless as possible. We closley follow the guidelines for the 6 areas of learning which are as follows: Language and Literacy Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy Personal, Social and emotional development Creative Development Physical Development Knowledge and understanding of the world and are OFSTED approved, meeting all the requirments of the DFEE. Their is a terrific range of fun indoor and outdoor activities and excursions including; Local visits ot parks, and celebration for birthdays and cultural events.
